The Emmanuel community invites YOU to a big band concert with dancing at Emmanuel Church, Newport, 42 Dearborn Street, on Sunday, May 19, 2024 from 7:30 to 10:00 pm with music by The Larry Brown Swinglane Orchestra. One of New England’s best big bands featuring vocalists Carroll Venable and Jimmy Winters with guest appearances by aspiring young musicians, the 19-piece LBSO is a local treasure in a community that knows and hosts the finest classical, jazz, and folk musicians in the world. Proceeds will go toward funding Emmanuel’s new accessibility ramp into our main entrance — Emmanuel’s Community Bridge and Garden, opening Emmanuel’s doors even wider to the whole community. Please give generously in addition to the ticket price if you are able. General admission $25, Cash bar. College Students free with ID. College Students must preregister and tickets will be available on a first come first serve basis.
