October 5, 2024 at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Providence from 9 am to noon.
Doors open at 8:30 with refreshments. The Conference will start at 9 am with worship. The Rev. Amy Brooks, US Coordinator of GreenFaith, will be our speaker.
Rev. Amy Brooks Paradise is an ordained Unitarian Universalist minister serving as the US Coordinator with GreenFaith. Rev. Amy’s connection to the Earth has roots in the farms of Western Pennsylvania but it was not until she did the Fellowship program with GreenFaith that she dreamed of making it the primary focus of her ministry. Out of respect for those rehearsing at Emmanuel Church for the myriad events of the Newport Classical Music Festival we will observe quiet hours on the entire property EVERY DAY in July until 6 p.m. On Sundays we may make our joyful noise as usual, and begin our quiet hours at noon.

Why? Celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride.
Emmanuel Church is on the route of the 2024 Pride Bike Parade so we will be able to cheer on participants as we enjoy the amazing musical talents of Caleb & Paige Dinger. Many heard and enjoyed their work at a recent Wednesday night supper. Caleb & Paige will be joined by others from the Musicians’ Circle and the greater Newport community singing favorite popular music from the 1950s through the present day. Come and bring a picnic and some friends.…
