Emmanuel Food Drive for MLK Center
We will also continue our partnership with the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center by gathering food and toiletry items monthly to share through the MLK Center while we aren’t able to gather to cook and feed people at Soup’s On at Emmanuel. We received an anonymous $400 grant to help us reach more people in our food assistance project. We thought it would be fun to include more people in the food assistance project with a “matching” challenge for our first month’s collection:
If you would like to participate in the first month “match,” place your items in the large basket in the office then call or email the office(401-847-0675 or email@example.com) to tell us the estimated value of your contribution. When the food totals reach $400, we will deliver the food collected in November, plus the $400 check, to the MLK Community Center Food Pantry. We’re already close to halfway there!! Join us in our “match” community!
